I am NOT an organizational psychologist. I am a practicing clinical psychologist with a previous career in a start-up company, and I strongly believe that some of the core elements that allow for lasting and meaningful change in individual therapy also bring a unique and powerful value to organizations.
I am passionate to bring curiosity and openness into the deep exploration of your organization and the dynamics that take place within it. I will not be using the most commonly used organizational theories and techniques. Instead, I offer an approach that focuses on the roots of "symptoms" before targeting the symptoms themselves. By attending to the roots and enabling you to become aware of and address them, you may find that more symptoms resolve naturally as you develop resilience and foster growth in your leadership and organization.
My approach will focus on exploring the underlying drives, motives, needs, relational and emotional patterns within the organization, and how these factors influence organizational functioning. It will also involve a direct examination of reality in its entirety, including its complexities and less favorable aspects. Through bringing all of those into awareness, we will explore new ways to intervene and impact processes and outcomes, and to develop healthier organizational culture and behaviors.
I believe that by integrating a profound psychological approach, leaders will enhance their intuition, insight, and resources to address not only current challenges but also future ones. This will increase their ability to continually refine their direction as they navigate the organization through both prosperous and challenging times
I have a special passion for the possibilities that arise from integrating the wisdom of clinical psychology and the world of organizations and businesses. Before becoming a psychologist, I worked for a medical-device start-up company from its early stages, through its growth into an international company that collaborated with others. I began as a Clinical Research Associate and System Specialist, progressed to Director of Clinical Applications, and later served as Director of Corporate Initiatives. During this journey, I had the privilege of gaining insights into various business functions, management styles, and teams, including R&D, QA and Regulation, HR, Product Design, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, and Implementation at User Sites (bringing change into hospitals and organizations) – through hands-on experience and observation.
Deeply invested in this world, I increasingly recognized the profound, albeit subtle, impact of psychology – with its hidden and emotional processes – on our professional and corporate lives. I eventually decided to pursue a career change and obtain a doctoral degree in clinical psychology; I consider myself extremely fortunate to have immersed myself in the practice of psychotherapy and the ongoing exploration of the human experience. Now, I am eager to integrate the different worlds, aiming to offer new possibilities for organizational healing and growth.
